Okay. It's getting good and the foreshadowing is minimal but expressed through an alien's written records. As a testament to great writing, it is just enough to entice the reader to continue.

It was really hard to get caught up in this book. The first 50+ pages were almost bland and it was hard to develop any liking of the main character. Fortunately, it has gotten much better.

Am trying hard to be patient but it's taking its sweet time in building up the character. There is a bit of foreshadowing of an upcoming problem but I'm waiting for some action!

Yes, this is book 1 of a series and yes, I dislike series but maybe it will end well. Only on page 17 and I already dislike the main character.
