Congrats, Robin Hobb—you’ve made me detest a 14-year-old girl. Not as bad as Regal, though. Not even Kyle is as bad as him.

It did not take much for me to fall back in love with this book—with the story as a whole. The way every character feels so alive and vividly portrayed is damn magical.
It’s a nice break from Malazan—which I wasn’t planning on taking. I’m loving Malazan so far but it’s certainly overwhelming, what with all the characters and lore and world-building. Liveship is more intimate, which is nice.

I left my copy of Deadhouse Gates at work :/ I had nothing to read when I got home so I decided why not read a bit of Mad Ship. I definitely still plan on reading all of RotE.

Ok so I have an issue and that’s going to the bookstore and buying three other books that do not belong to the series I’m reading. Now I’m probably going to jump from book to book. I will get back to this one whenever my impulsive nature decide to wane.

Hey Robin Hobb if you see this please take it easy on me. It’s the weekend and I’m trying to have a relaxing next couple days. Hey please just be a cool book about talking ships 🙏
