I am so happy that Elish is returning with Tony in Brooklyn. I am curious to know how Elish's future will be once married to Tony. I appreciate the author's writing style as he left his readers on a cliff-hanger. I am also happy that Elish announced to her mom that she was getting married. I am curious to know how Jim Farrell will react to Elish's letter once he wakes up in the morning.

I am surprised by how Elish and her mom have totally different looks on Rose's death. I am shocked about how Elish's mom has no clue that Elish is supposed to return to Brooklyn at some point, and she is not allowed to stay at home for too long. I am happy that Elish and her mom can spend some time together. I am curious to know how Tony reacts to the news of Elish staying back for a couple of weeks.

I am so happy for Elish and Tony as they are getting married. I am also very happy for Elish as she is going home for a month to see her mom and spend time with her. I am curious to know what Tony and Elish's future is going to look like once they get married. I am happy for Elish as she passed all of her tests, and when she gets back, she will be able to work in the office.

I am in shock because Rose died. I am sorry for Elish as her sister died, and she never had the chance to talk to her in person and say her final goodbyes. I am curious to know what Elish's relationship will look like with Tony. I am also curious to know how Tony will react to the news. I wish for Elish to go home for a while. I am confused about how they can talk to each other on the phone these years.

I am happy that Elish has a boyfriend now, as it will keep her occupied during her free time. I feel like Tony is the right guy for her as he is gentle and nice. I am surprised that Tony lied about where he comes from. I appreciate Tony going out with Elish once in a while. I am mad as Tony is taking their relationship too far too early. I hope that Elish will stay together for at least a year, as he is a good guy.

I am confused about why Ms. Keegan would give the room to Elish. I feel like this is targeting newer people with less knowledge. I am also really in shock after finding out why Ms. Keo moved out of her house. I am happy for Elish, as she finally got what she wanted for a long time: a big, spacious apartment. Lastly, I am surprised that racism is starting to get introduced into this story.

I am sad because Elish did not get back home for Christmas Day. After all, it is too far a travel for her. I feel a special connection between Elish's life and mine, as we both sometimes experience homesickness. I am happy for Elish as she gets the opportunity to do community service and help with the cooking for the big meal at the church on Christmas Day. I think that this is a good way to develop connections.

I am surprised about how even the employees at the store where Elish works do not know about the Nylon stocking sale. There should be at least some info given to the employees about it so they could prepare for the cause the night before. I am happy for Eilis as she got into Brooklyn College night classes. I believe that this should keep her occupied during the week. Lastly, I hope that Eilis's family is doing well.

I am really surpised on how well the author expresses himself. His delicate writing style makes me feell joyfull wile reading this novel. I am not surprised that Elish does not smoke, as she seems like a great person. As I was reading this novel, I felt happy as it is similar to our Cardigan Journey, where all students experience homesickness, and all students move far away from their families.
