Alien Agenda #4: The government totally knew about UFOs and their extraterrestrial origins, even assembling top-secret task forces to investigate wreckage and bodies. They of course engaged in disinformation campaigns to muddy the waters and make UFO-talk as academically and scientifically taboo as it is today. The amount of forgeries mentioned in this chapter … 😭

Chapter 3 doesn’t say much about the alien agenda, but merely reports how World War II intersects with UFO lore. The only “agenda” I can report on here is one theory that exiled Nazis controlled highly advanced technology that was close to deployment by the end of the war … but to what end? Not super interesting, tbh

Alien agenda #2.2 (get ready): Aliens occupying a dying twelfth planet in our solar system landed on Earth to extract resources, creating humans to do slave labor, though we got too intelligent and were nearly killed by a flood as punishment before these alien explorers devolved into internal conflict. The Grey Aliens are separate from them and hope to add elements of our genetics to theirs …? I— 😭

Forever impressed by his ability to mention things that absolutely need more context. Like wdym razors stay sharper longer and fruit doesn’t rot as quickly when near the Giza pyramids 😭😭😭😭

Don’t hate but I in some ways respect academic shitposters because they exploit holes in knowledge that force the “establishment” of the field to search for stronger, more definitive evidence out of spite. That being said, every time Graham Hancock is mentioned I sigh.

Alien Agenda #2.1: Aliens (whoever they are) have been visiting Earth for tens of thousands of years, if not millions of years, leaving behind evidence, whether that be in what we construe as myths, or in the form of seemingly anachronistic technology imbuing humans with knowledge unobtainable at the time. This section is a little more contradictory and lacking in cohesion.

Alien Agenda #1: Create an artificial satellite that could pass as a naturally-formed rock (The Moon) to use as a base of operations for human surveillance(?). The sudden end to the Apollo Program was these beings essentially telling us to get off their expensive equipment. Also Apollo 13 was, as the speculation goes, purposefully sabotaged to show these beings' resolve on the matter. Okay!

Marrs now sets up that the Moon was hollowed out by Aliens, covered in rocks for shielding purposes, and then moved manually and precisely into orbit around the Earth. Yet, the surface also contains structures to potentially alert us to an intelligent motive / presence? So was the Moon built to be moved and then cities built on top and abandoned? He’s throwing shit at the walls, guys … stay tuned

There’s the term UFO literally (a flying object with origins, motives, construction unknown), and then the term UFO culturally (aliens). Marrs is burying what appears to be his use of the literal about the Moon. He’s arguing the peculiarities of the Moon and the lack of consensus. The moon itself is an unidentifiable object.
