That's the thing romance doesn't properly address - the true horror/trauma of what happens to the MC. Can you imagine being told you can get pregnant? As a guy? And the book just... sweeps it away with all the lust and Brad's need to accept his new circumstances and his growing feelings for the occasionally-A-hole of an alpha. Because the moment you address it, you realise that's not romance, but a horror story.
