I find it a bit hard to believe that Derek and Fallon would share a moment in the kitchen on a busy Friday night while everything is slammed. It makes me think of The Bear and just how chaotic a kitchen can get. It’s difficult to imagine the head chef being so laid-back in that moment. On top of that, it also feels unlikely that the rest of the staff would just witness it without any reaction.

I’m really impressed with how much the writing has improved since books 1 and 2. The sentences and dialogue feel noticeably more mature and well-structured. There are still a few moments where the phrasing or dialogue comes across as a bit choppy, but it’s far less noticeable than in the earlier books.
