Might be spoiled by watching the movie with Tom Cruise (Great movie btw). But this just feels like such a slow burn. I have no suspense and just want Reacher to start kicking some ass.

He's done very little ass kicking for 60% of a Lee Child thriller. It's ceiling at the moment is 3/5.

I want it to hurry up and get to Reacher punching things.

I can't say it is particularly exciting. But I am sure it will pick up.

A note on the text, it is quite blocky and spends a lot of time saying very little, which is surprising for a Reacher book.

I can tell that this is going to be a bit of a slog. The chapters seem pointlessly long. I am starting Chapter 3 and I am 90 pages in, so far the exciting incident has happened and Reacher has shown up.

In the movie this is the first, what, 10 mins? I hope it gets better.
