thinking back it is now glaringly obvious that this author was going to make the progressive atheist parents the evil masterminds even though it makes absolutely no sense because this isn't actually a thriller ghost story, it's fucking right wing propoganda!!

I don't think this author has ever meat a real athiest, or knows anything about psychology. this whole confrontation with the parents is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

this girl is pissing me off. she's an idiot. why are you acting like these parents aren't doing anything about concerning behaviors from their kid because they're atheists when the obvious reason they aren't doing anything about it is that you are actively hiding the concerning behaviors?!? she just wants an excuse to secretly prophetize to this child and not feel guilty because she know she shouldn't

I don't know why we're acting like it's a given that if you don't believe in god you don't believe in ghosts. Even if you don't think the parents believe in ghosts, if you think their child is being haunted because creepy things keep happening involving their child there is still something going on that the parents should know about.
