Peaked my interest right away. It’s nice the author goes over everything from the start for more of a comprehensive analysis of her marriage. Hindsight is 20/20. I don’t think her husband’s red flags while dating and during marriage even registered to the author, which is an interesting thought because we all are capable of doing something like that too.

A very comprehensive analysis of the life and death of a marriage from a woman’s eyes. I’ll remember this story when I get married. Smart prenups, continuous financial independence and involvement, sense of self, partner recognition, fairness and kindness are never just guaranteed. This book is evidence that the person you marry is the most important life decision.

The author says the divorce came out of the blue and had no idea, but throughout the book I’m thinking “wtf?” or “that’s weird” towards the ex husband’s actions during their relationship and marriage. However, I’m also like “girl” and “don’t be stupid” towards the author’s actions and beliefs at the same time. The thing is, I don’t think she’s any different from anyone else and everyone could do and believe the same.
