two things I'm really liking is that a) the fmc is 6 door tall and b) the world building is really rich and complex and i wasn't expecting that. plus its introduced really naturally and it's quite fun when you find out a new thing. okay a 3rd thing is that the side characters aren't there and then forgotten about, the way the main character gets reminded of them in small details she observes feels so realistic

all the interesting world lore in existence can't save authors from 'bad guy who actually isn't that bad' trope written poorly.
ITS OUR FIRST SCENE ALONE WITH HIM. COULDN'T THE READER HAVE CAUSE HATE HIM A LITTLE FIRST? one scene of him doing something bad was not enough! don't immediately make him start to show care (even if it is through a ~cold mask~)

also going into this blind because I've had this proof for so long I've forgotten what it's about, and going into the last book I read blind turned out to be fun!
