Brent How are you liking this? How dated is this book and does it still have relevant insight?

Alex Strohschein It’s good - it is dated but still relevant. Right now he’s talking about the use of computers in school - we’re far gone down that path but Postman still poses good questions to consider.

Alex Strohschein He’s also contrasting “multiculturalism” with “cultural pluralism,” which is an interesting distinguishing between two concepts I’d assume would be synonyms.

Very interesting; this work has been on my "to-read" list for quite sometime. I wonder what Postman would say about the technological push of education into AI?

Alex Strohschein I don’t think he’d be a big fan at all, haha. That’s where it is a bit dated - like, the critiques Postman makes of computer use don’t include AI but the principles behind the critiques would be similar, I’d assume.
