Sometimes all you need to change your ways is to have a conversation with maybe Satan after killing someone - Markheim

The short story A Lodging for the Night is honestly the most compelling I’ve read, I could read so much more about Master Francis Villon and him just going about being a general nuisance

What the actual short story amounts to is our main character Villon, a thief, meeting a knight and due to the knights honour being able to stay a night which quickly turns into a debate on morality and circumstance

The first short story finished, and it is without a doubt the most well known, a story of an intentionally split psyche and what I found most compelling was how Jekyll was not entirely innocent he had all the urges of Hyde before separating them he was just balanced out with all the good whereas Hyde was entirely these urges

Also surprising that a vast majority was told not from either Jekyll of Hyde’s perspective
