Only a little over halfway through but this novel has been compelling throughout. The disappearance of the wife of a local doctor lands Thatcher Hutton in jail. He’s a WWI soldier trying to make his way back to the only home he’s known, and had asked the missing woman for a place to stay while he made some cash to send him on his way. Nothing about Foley, Texas is what it seems, keeping you hooked throughout.
