And then they got married.

As her mouth explores me I know, in the tiny part of my brain still capable of rational thought, that I should be concerned about that mouth and what it contains.

Not about the people downstairs waiting for you while you make out with your vampire girlfriend?

“No, I did it! I ended the war! They’ve just signed an armistice. It’s over.”
The Doctor frowned at me. I had expected to earn a smile, or at least less of a frown, which counted as a smile for the Doctor. Instead, her frown deepened.
“What do you mean?”
“I wish you had consulted me first. It’s very inconvenient.”
“Inconvenient,” I repeated with numb lips.

Sometimes a girl finds herself alone at the feet of an unknown land, covered in grime, having just decapitated a stranger, and it’s all too much.

She needs a cup of tea.

Time isn’t a line. It’s a bottomless pit we throw more and more of ourselves into until we’re swallowed completely. Everything is still happening, has never happened, will always be happening, hasn’t happened yet. I walk with the ghosts of everyone I’ve ever been, and I don’t know which I am, or if I’m one of the dead that haunts me.
