I’m not gonna rag on a classic but the dialogue in this book was not hitting for me reading it as an adult. Maybe we’re just spoiled with books that develop such rich characters and have witty dialogue but I found myself completely disengaged from most of the characters and found the dialogue between them forced and obtrusive.

But still, a classic sci-fi narrative that just isn’t holding as well 60 years later
