A series of essays - one makes me laugh out loud, some remind me of times past and some are best passed by quickly.

This is a book of essays on the theme of eating alone. Who has home alone recipes? Who likes simple. does not lower their standards, can comfortably eat alone in a restaurant? I very much enjoyed the introduction and the first essay. The second essay I didn't enjoy quite so much. I will read essays singly between other books and discover how much the appeal of the food itself imfluences my opinion of the essays.
