need more books with inner monologue that is also rly good setup bc the payoff is sooooo satisfying

this is not indicative of any feelings towards the story itself or regard for king’s writing but i miss when tradpub allowed this kind of narration that put a lot of weight on internal monologue especially with characters who are kinda horrible. nowadays it’s all action action action and your protagonist must be like your reader
