What brothel crap is this? Weren’t we just on a boat? This book is working its way toward one star..

I’m so bored, why is this so boring? How do you make a world with magic artifacts this boring?

Do they think crocodiles can’t eat people if they are underwater instead of on the surface??

Does this guy have any other personality than alcoholic?

3x speed isn’t fast enough to get through this, I’m ready to be done with it but there are over 12 hours left.

We’re just bringing magic into things suddenly or did I miss a discussion of it at the start of the book when I wasn’t paying attention?

A living wage?? What year is this supposed to be?

Are these reasonable opinions for a young lady in the late 1800s? Were people against “protecting” historic things from the natives or did they feel entitled to them?
