I decided to skip by the Kaban Project short story. So, I guess I'll just mark it dnf and will log the component books instead.

I'm starting to be somewhat disappointed in it. Finished the second book in the collection and it starts feeling much less like history/mythology.
Now there is much more dialogue, while in the first book there was barely any.
Also, after the second book is a short story written for this collection.
The art is very inconsistent with some of art feeling like mediocre elfwood slop. Also, it's spread semi-randomly.

Almost halfway through the story. Horribly brutal.

I got it and started reading it, because at some point I thought that I don't want to read over 64 novels and short story collections in Horus Heresy series. Also, I wanted something that would keep it mythical, rather than seeing exactly what happened in a novel.
There's a ton of awesome art too, including by John Blanche.
