okay so clearly we CAN write captivating prose. John just sucks. I like Persephone. More her. Less john
(I think maybe it’s because john knows absolutely nothing and doesn’t seem to care, so i’m not intrigued by his mystery. Persephone isnt telling us things on purpose)

so far i’m not really falling into the writing style. it’s so objective, which i’m sure is supposed to be showing some separation from John and us but like. dang i don’t care about this guy at all rn. I like Ruben but the descriptions just feel really detached? probably that’s the point but still. meh.
