Picked this from reddit fantasyromance self-promo thread. Promises me "Grumpy FMC, Sunshine MMC", but so far he's a spoiled, stuck up, clueless but judgemental jerk, no sunshine to be found, except the one he feeds on (he's a literal tree person). Writing is a bit rough around the edges, but the biggest issue is that it seems he got fmc demoted and now he snoots at her. Am I supposed to root for this second chance?

I’m side eyeing people on Reddit. This is a very confusing interpretation of sunshine MMC.

I seriously need to stop requesting these self-published titles, usually the writing isn't up to scratch and the blurbs / trope maps are bait & switch, especially for what I'm seeking. And I'm only requesting them because I'm hoping they'll go "harder" into non-mainstream tropes. Otherwise I have Netgalley for better edited books...
