I didn't know I needed a book that referenced "Wizard of Oz", "Narnia," and then "Brigadoon" all in one page in my life. But now it feels like a gift from the Muses that I got to read it. If you've ever driven in LA beyond being a tourist, this book captures that particular kind of rage. And the witty way the characters talk to each other is brilliant.
