Hahahah well, no. I'm giving up on this one. In fact I should just shove it onto my DNF shelf now. It's ai-written (based on the way information is repeated multiple times in different chapters/povs, plus tells with the cover design) and while I'm not as morally opposed to authors using ai for different parts of their writing/production process as a lot of readers here on GR are, I also don't have the patience to slog through a story when it gets bogged down by stuff like that. But the good news is, I found something else to read last night when I quit on this one, and so far, while it's definitely not my usual, it's fantassssssstic!

I got about 40% through the new one this morning before I had to break for work/adulting/etc. But so far I'm loving it! 😊
