maybe I should've expected this from a plot written by a MAN concerning 1970s LA and the subject matter of the investigation but the underlying misogyny and racism is discernible in certain microaggression-esque parts of the writing and becoming increasingly irritating, as well as the weird thing where dependent clauses aren't connected properly... charles ardai I am quickly learning to dislike you
