2 main characters so far, and very different goings on. I assume we'll get at least one more character and/or some kind of convergence. But we'll see. I've never read Mieville before so I might be all wrong.

Guessing at page count for now, but so far I'm blown away, partially at the writing but moreso the worldbuilding and tone. A solid part of my mind is screaming, "What the hell is going on here?!?!" That's usually a good thing
