i don't know what overcame me to start this book now, but cameron gave away some books and i had been meaning to pick this up eventually. having it in my possession now, i just had the urge to pick it up and start it !!!
as a women in my mid twenties, i've been rlly interested in reading memoirs, especially by women, for a new perspective and just to connect. so i am super excited to finally give this a read!

It's so heartbreaking to know just how common it is for people, especially women, to have eating disorders. it also shows too, probably the most outwardly out of most mental illnesses, how healing very much isn't linear. how one thing can truly change the way you perceive life forever even after you've been clean from it for a long period of time. bravo to anyone whose ever had to face something like that before.

her life really lives up to the phrase "last night was like a movie", like i have my own leamington spa moments, though i must admit... nothing that lives up to dolly's grandeur (and probably for the best for me, that would cause me such anxiety, but live your truth diva!) and the margaret atwood quote in the middle of the story ABOUT when something is considered a story just really resonated deeply with me.
