Honestly, this makes me feel a bit icky. The conflict is clearly complex, but what the Israeli government is doing at present is unquestionably wrong. And it feels really weird for the author to compare Hamas to Hitler when it was seemingly formed in direct response to Israeli murder of Palestinians—therefore exists with elements of provocation from Israel—especially when what Hitler did was purely unprovoked.

And I want to note that what Hamas does isn't okay, either. But I really do take issue with this comparison given the situation, especially with how much the author emphasized it.
