SUMMARY: the book is shown through the third child Luke's perspective. In this world you're only allowed to have 2 children. And if you break this rule you have to pay a big fine or worse. Right now, Luke escapes his house after seeing a suspected third child in the sports house. Luke makes it to the sports house, breaks in, and figures out that there is a third hidden child but she is a girl.

4/27 SUMMARY: In the beginning of the book, Luke, the family's third child, happens to stumble upon another third child in another household. In in this law,you are only able to have 2 children. Throught the book, Luke visits the house with the other shadow child. Jen comes up with a plan to revolt against the government. in her attempt, she unfortunately dies leaving Luke gets a chance to move to a new family.
