POINT OF VIEW-
The point of view in this book is 3rd person omniscient. I know this because it says "Dee held Sid's gaze for a long moment, hoping his friend would see reason. But there was nothing in Sid's eyes but fury." These sentences mean that the point of view is in third person because it doesn't say words like "you" or "I". I know it is omniscient because it talks about how Dee was feeling/hoping.

SUMMARY-
So far in this Chapter we learn about Henry Allen, a brown medic. Henry grew up with his mother and sisters because his father was always at work as a postal man. Henry is assigned to only help other colored soldiers but helps everyone he can. I know this from the sentence, "So Henry decided to train as a medic instead." This sentence means that Henry is a medic.
