- I cannot believe I’m reading another book that has me wondering whether the protagonist will find the person they’re looking for. I can’t see how she’ll find him but I will be unbelievably sad if she doesn’t.
- The training montage is very long. When will it end?😩 I just want to know what’s at the top of the cliff. Is it the community on the other side? Or is it just wild animals?

- I can’t believe after all this time they finally reunite and she does NOTHING. Extremely anticlimactic. I know I was strongly wishing for them to find each other but I’d honestly rather they hadn’t if all they were going to do was exactly what they would’ve done if they’d never found each other again.
- This story has taken such a disappointing and boring turn. I’d rather go back to the start.

I read it twice! I love it. It's my favourite of the Giver series.
That’s awesome! I’ve almost finished it and I can’t decide if I like it yet or not. There’s some fantastic parts and some not so great parts for me. But still about 20% of the book left to change my mind!
