Reading further into this, I think I'm struggling with the idea of all human prejudices kind of being solved and the universe is a more accepting utopia but then they keep bringing up these real world issues with fictional species or concepts instead. It just feels a little weird. Also all the characters are giving a very classic 2010s group cliches

I've been in such a bad reading slump but I just picked this up and accidentally read 30 pages in one sitting soooooo, fingers crossed my slump is over
