Ah yes the classic trope of "let's literally risk people's lives because we're too horny to control ourselves". Yes, the obvious response to hiding in a closet together while guards are outside is to combine sex with the quiet game. "Little Bird" is such a cringe pet name. It's not clever or cute. In fact it sounds kind of demeaning. Like the british slang "bird" which often sounds patronizing or sexist. He's basically calling her "little girl".
Also, every time the MMC does something nice, the FMC says "why are you being nice to me?"
