Sanderson, that chapter did not actually need to be ten hours long

I like the idea of the shadow sabotaging the armies of the light in such a way but lowkey it felt contrived to buy time until Mat took over which I was fully convinced was going to happen initially because duh

How does Sanderson use the word “tempest” in every other line and not feel bothered that he can’t think of a better one? Also he wasn’t paying attention: Rand found Selene irritating as fuck with her constant attempts to seduce him, and Mat didn’t like being Tylen’s pretty half as much as this book claims. Get it right bro

Sanderson is doing a good job but his insistence on making every single character recite their exact thoughts and motivations (even when people already know what they’re saying) is trying my patience. Jordan could be way too subtle at times, but at least he trusted the readers to figure things out for themselves

Oh real funny, make me like these brand new characters and then kill them all. As if everyone else isn’t gonna die at the end of this one. Thank you authors /s
