It's still early yet, but I'm not feeling it. Stuff's happening. But I'm not getting the MC. I want to fall in love with my MCs. I need to. But at this point, it's not happening, despite spending so much time with her. :(

There is just something about unexpected twists in a book that never fails to win me over. It didn't happen at 95%, don't worry. I'm just sayin' that authors who can catch me off balance and make me go 'WTF!, I didn't see that coming'... after luring me into a sense of complacency, I love such devious, sneaky authors. :)

Oooh, I'm starting to like my crusading counselor....a lot. She's got chutzpah, and isn't afraid to bend a few rules and cut a few corners. It's like she just morphed from boring Alicia to exciting and unpredictable Kalinda! :)

Oh, what I'd give for the MC to be sleuthing around the creepy cave with that hot, stubborn detective instead of this scaredy, old priest. So many missed opportunities for....growth ! ;)
