First story "Old Virginia" had a great atmosphere. The mix of cosmic horror and cold war spy fiction was really cool. Curious if anything here is going to tie into The Croning, but I suppose I'm getting a little ahead of myself

"Shiva, Open Your Eye" - starts out as a compelling cat-and-mouse style confrontation between a private investigator and a man he suspects of being involved with a number of disappearances, but shifts halfway through to a markedly more contemplative, Ligottian philosophical jaunt still oozing cosmic horror. More meandering than "Old Virginia" but full of really lush prose
