I guess I’m just not into this book. I keep wanting to say “okay but what’s the point? What are we working towards?” Because they keep hashing out the same conversation over and over again. I know what the purpose of this quest/story is but hmph, I’m struggling to enjoy it.

So far I’m indifferent, but it has nice messaging/themes that resonate with me in my current life stage. The fear of not living a fulfilling life, the urge to find something better but the worry that once you do life would no longer have a purpose.

“What’s the worlds greatest lie?” “It’s this: that at a certain point in our lives, we lose control of what’s happening to us, and our lives become controlled by fate.”

Sheesh, not me currently living my life thinking fate has control and I have no agency when in reality I’m just afraid to make decisions for myself and take action on things.
