hey. WHAT?!?!?!

Guys, I'm so confused. Everyone was hating on this because is was falsely advertised as a romantasy (it wasn't) when its a grimdark fantasy. But...the entire main plot is a romance? This thing is like 80% romance. Pretty much everything centers the romance, to the point that I'm annoyed about it rn. Why are ppl mad?

I don't think Ava Reid can write anything other than instalove but this story is so good that it's not bothering me as much as it has in other works of theirs.

Pls pls pls Ava Reid, pls don't do that thing again where your book is perfect, amazing, etc etc, but then you randomly make the worst decision known to man and ruin it completely.
So far this is my fave book of hers and I NEED to have this win, we've had less and less with each publication and I LOVE her so I NEED this rn.

Sara your 2 star rating is looming over me at all times. I'm liking this so so much.. I'm very nervous and very frightened of whatever this book did to upset you so.

I will defend Ava Reid on most (but not all) things but especially on always advertising their books properly. She never once said this was a romatasy and everyone attacking her online over this just hates to see her thrive. A similar thing happened with my fave book of theirs and I'm so irritated rn, please I too hate some of their books but leave them alone! 😭
