It's probably the abandoned library, gothics require an isolated setting (usually a home, usually with untrustworthy relatives, if we're being true to the classic form)

The library is both very abandoned and the other peeps are very untrustworthy. LOL, I think the word I was looking for earlier was melodramatic. It's all so melodramatic which, to me, is the cherry on top of the gothic ^__^
