We overcome so much evil and reach so many people when we pray. The impossible can happen when we intercede for the souls of men. God answers prayers for a praying church. We are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation. The Church is the light of the world as Jesus said. We grow to be more like Him, believers fulfilling Christ's mission the world will then see Jesus in ways we couldn't show on our own.

As a church we serve as salt and light becoming the hands and feet of Jesus showing compassion all around us in our communities. Devoting ourselves to good works so we will not be unfruitful. We are to proclaim Christ everywhere we go anywhere we are led to serve Him by serving people. Lastly we are to intercede in prayer Jesus said his house will be a house of prayer.

The things we do: we worship, we evangelize reaching the lost with life changing good news of the gospel we should be constantly devoted to sharing the gospel in our communities and more.
As a church we are to make disciples as it says in The Great Commission Jesus assigned to the church. We should build eachother up during the week as well.

The Church is not a building or place we are the church. Its made up of believers around the world one body in Christ. We value members of His Body who humbly submit their lives to Christ. Its not made up of one age group or one kind of people. We have many purposes we are meant to participate in and contribute towards everything we do as a church.

In Rebuking us, Truth helps us to realize when we are wrong or deceived in some way. Verses will show us the right path directing our minds back where we should be. Scripture cleans us up. God knows where we are at in life and wants to purify us. God Word corrects and instructing us towards a better normal God's Best. Lastly God's Word Trains us to get back on track in our thinking, healthier habits, & relationships.

This chapter was on Obeying God's Word something we have a hard time doing as Christians and people of God because we all fall short of His Glory. We should live in a spiritual maturity making faith filled decisions it can change your life. God blesses obedience to His Word rewarding our faith. Mature believers take His Word more seriously. His Word is alive in us. Learning His Word transforms us.

As a result of studying The Word and obeying we have a stronger faith and love for God. Our character then becomes more Christian like or Christ-like. Our greater usefulness in God's Kingdom can start to impact the world for His glory.

Scripture is a river of truth. We may never understand everything we read in the Bible or verses but we can always learn new things and get fresh spiritual nourishment and the direction we need. The Word is Living and effective in our lives.
The way it becomes effective is when we take it in and let it live in us. We relate to the author of the book who is leading us to learn about Christ and grow closer to Him.

Mark wrote as a man stating the facts as a man on the street. Luke wrote as he interviewed the eyewitness accounts in detail. They were all written so we could see that Jesus is The Messiah, the Son of God and by believing we may have life in His Name (John 20: 30-31) The purpose of the Bible is to show you something about God and how we can intimately know Him and relate to Him and others.

When reading and studying The Bible we first need to invite the Holy Spirit into this time of devotion. Ask him to show you things as you study. The Gospels is where we learn who Jesus was John being the more intimate Gospel you really see who Jesus was because of how close he was to Jesus. In Matthew it shows how Jesus fulfilled Jewish prophecy and how He became their long awaited Messiah.
