I picked the book up again, wanting to try to get through the highly detailed and somewhat boring stuff on page 107/108. I'm not really a fan of Waldo's writing style. It's a bit choppy, IMO. Anyway, but it's a bit of an adventure, so for now I'm trying to continue on....

My response to another reviewer: I'm ready to set this book aside. I read Circle of Stones, which I enjoyed. But, it's also her writing style. I read Chesapeake/Michener, & there was A LOT of ship building in that. But, the story, pace, etc. made up for it. I can't be sure I want to finish this Circle. The book has felt more like a term paper than a novel so far. Too bad, cool concept, but boring stylistically.
