I have to pause and put this here: I had to get to 35% for all that "build up" to turn interesting. I'm now at 50% and the investment seems to be paying off. Maybe. Still not sure, though. We'll see 'if the juice is worth the squeeze'...

This author is… something. I loved Once There were Wolves but I’ve read two others and they just didn’t do it for me. But she can write for sure

Yes, she's a good writer,...but I also think she's stuck on the same theme song. You know, like Kenny Chesney once he discovered the Caribbean - all his songs sounded the same. It doesn't mean they're bad songs, I just get tired of always listening to songs about the ones and the beach and tans and...etc. Lol.
Wait. Maybe I should say she's sticking to the same type of vibe. There's nothing wrong with it, it's just I don't want the same vibe all the time. (Maybe the Kenny comparison was right, after all. 😉)
