I was curious, so I put the start of my novel into an AI detector. It’s 100% human no AI or anything, and I spent a lot of time wording it and all that…..
It said all the sentences I worked hard to word vividly and artistically was AI. And then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to humanize my already 100% human story.
Now I’m worried people will think my book is AI generated 😭

This is what I put in the AI detector:Hooves tramped down the mist-laden grasses as the two riders and a pack horse trotted through the foggy prairie, their breaths mingling with the early dawn air. The smaller of the horses, which was barely larger than a pony, nickered softly, his head bowed as his body swayed through the tall mead.
His rider reclined easily on the little sorrel’s back, picking listlessly at a cherry wood mandola. He was about as unhurried as one could be, as though he didn’t care where he ended up, as long as he were someplace new. He hummed a verse, pausing slightly as he turned his sparkling opaque eyes to his companion, their depths bright with hidden amusement.
“I cannae sing it reit.” His high Nörthish brogue was smooth and soft, twinkling brightly at the edges. “Ye try it.”
The second rider was a straight backed man astride a dark mare that moved fluidly through the grass. He eyed his friend with the look of a man whose train of thought had been interrupted. “Sing that? I don’t think I can remember all the words.”
“Ye have a bonnie voice, give it a go. A’ll help wi’ the parts ye don’t know,” His companion urged, poising the mandola in preparation. He enjoyed teasing his friend out of thought.
His companion gave him a disgruntled look, but in truth, he loved singing.
The first rider started plucking the mandola, and very quickly, music intertwined with fog and sky, swirling around them in a hauntingly eerie echo. He was an excellent player, and his eyes fluttered shut as he played. There was a shadow that moved across his face as the song grew beneath his hands. It wasn’t grief, but more like the shape grief leaves behind when it’s become more friend than foe.
The second rider cleared his throat and started up the first verse. He had a clear baritone voice that melted into the verse as if it were created for it, and the firm line of his shoulders settled as he too relaxed into the music.
It’s so maddening, can’t a girl write poetically and vividly and not be considered AI? If I put Shakespeare into a AI detector, what would it say??? 😭
Oh I love that! That's really good writing and I personally wouldn't think "oh that's AI" as I definitely do with some stuff
Yeah see AI was meant to copy good human writing, so anytime a good author comes around everyone suspects AI. Like a let a girl use Em dashes smh
