I feel defeated. I don't think that's how I should feel at this point, but Elizabeth isn't fighting. Not saying she isn't a fighter, but she isn't fighting. She is standing firm but that's not the same thing. She can't take on patriarchy by herself. She can only shine the light on how harmful it is, and so I'm feeling a bit defeated.
