That Maggie’s surrogate dad Peter was Michael Carmichael’s colleague seems like a stretch, but perhaps that could be finessed in a screenplay adaptation (133).

Looked like Bruce was laughing (107).

Given Bruce Meyers love of art, Elise’s pause at the painting in the alcove of Peter’s house is interesting, as is the question, “What was the point of revisiting, old hurts and disappointments”? Perhaps it’s wrong to leave them if they’re family.
