I'm having a hard time connecting with the story.

I'm feeling like this may be a tad too " Hollywood insider" to fully appreciate the little minutia that feels like its flying over my head.

I suspect a cross, double-cross and perhaps a triple-cross!

This has the feel of something else I've read before. Keene's The Lost Level pehaps? Can't put my finger on it yet.
