“Do you see it my darling? The shooting star?” The words were a soft, gentle whisper tickling his ear, and he craned his neck towards the heavens, eyes seeking but not finding.

Uh, which WIP? I have four.

My hands clenched in my lap, their shaking synchronizing with my pounding heartbeat.

The stars sang, but I screamed.

A sonic boom ripped through the air as a jet shot overhead, paused, backpedaled, and gently lowered onto an open field at the Spencer Family Farm. (Little HH&HB sequel sneak peek for you.)

Cool and smooth, the marble hugged her back as Adriana pressed herself against the wall, straining for the sound of the royal guards passing her hidden alcove.

"Born from the work of his hands, Courage shall come forth, clad in the verdant of the Ancient Hero."

The jungle is silent except for the cautious tread of our boots.

I remember little of my real mother, but I know she raised me to have good morals.
