It's really strange that Mr. Boast asked Almanzo and Laura for their baby in exchange for a horse. It seems if the Reverend of the town could adopt, the Boasts' could too. It seem like that would ruin the friendship that the Wilders' have with the Boasts' besides just being a strange thing to ask.
