I feel a 2-star rating coming on… this book is pretty boring. It seems like so much self-indulgent teenage wistful angst. The POV character’s BFF is a mostly-unlikeable sociopath who nevertheless has POV character bewitched. I’ll bet the author IRL probably had a few interesting anecdotes about her younger years, told some people who encouraged her write them down, and then out pops this book.
