I will DNF this for now bc I dont know what to do. It is uncomfortable to read about child marriage and it was described uncomfortably. The original series established that while they were promised young, the marriage wasn't consumated until they were old enough, or so I remember. But this breaks this because the author was writing about the around 20 year old having had trouble getting pregnant for like 5years

And while this is set in medieval times, there's no need to go into that detail or even include it. But I loved the OG series but I realised this had problematic weird stuff too and the author has released two new books around 20 years after the OG series ended (this one rn is set after the time of the OG series) with original characters from back then and I was so excited. I went to where it takes place in saxony. I really like this series but I don't like this and it feels wrong to read so idk what to do. I'll read something else for now
