I will DNF this for now bc I dont know what to do. It is uncomfortable to read about child marriage and it was described uncomfortably. The original series established that while they were promised young, the marriage wasn't consumated until they were old enough, or so I remember. But this breaks this because the author was writing about the around 20 year old having had trouble getting pregnant for like 5years

I think I'm picking this up again. I put it away bc I needed to read something else at the time but I feel like this might be it rn. After all, I love the stories of this author. I love her other midwife books this one is a part of

Around page 250, I got really bored and haven't touched it since 2022 but now it got so good again, I need to read it further but I'm at work 😭
